Private residential house Casa Crutos
On the second plot of 4.9 hectares is the private house that was built in 2009 according to Portuguese standards, remarkably sustainable and in a country style. Built area: 224 m2. Quinta do Retiro is located just outside the village of Covas near the towns of Tábua and Oliveira do Hospital. In the Dão wine region that is enclosed by the mountains of the Serra da Estrela National Park with the Torre as the highest mountain in Portugal, the Serra do Açor and the Serra do Caramulo. Two large rivers run through this area: the Rio Mondego, which is great for canoeing and kayaking, and the Rio Alva with its many beautiful river beaches. The area is popular with nature lovers, birdwatchers, hikers and cyclists. There is no mass tourism, but the region is increasingly visited by tourists who love peace, space, nature and authentic villages with a very friendly population. The region has a large, diverse and vibrant foreign community.
