Terms and Conditions Retiro Turismo Rural LDA
These terms and conditions apply to all bookings and stays on the terrain of Quinta do Retiro and are binding for both guests and Retiro Turismo Rural Lda. Making a reservation or booking, staying on the terrain of Quinta do Retiro means that the client accepts these conditions for himself and his fellow travelers. The main booker is responsible for its fellow travelers. Quinta do Retiro (Parcampismo) is a trading name of Retiro Turismo Rural Lda.
Guests
As we have a holiday park; guests are most welcome to stay. Guests need to contribute to the holiday feeling of other guests at all times. When the management of Quinta do Retiro is in doubt about this, it can ask the guest to adjust its behavior or to leave.
Tariffs
All prices listed on the websites of Retiro Turismo Rural Lda are in euros and includes the applicable VAT rate in Portugal. There is a copy of the pricelist in the reception. In case of unclearness the pricelist/prices published on the website prevails. The municipalities of Tábua and Oliveira do Hospital do not (yet) charge a tourist tax.
Booking, payment and cancellation policy rental accomodations
Reservations are considered confirmed when a deposit of 50% of the total is received within 3 days of initial booking. The total invoice needs to be paid in full six weeks prior to arrival. If your reservation is made within the required six weeks prior to arrival, then the total amount needs to be paid in full when you book in order to consider it confirmed. The method of payment is sent to you by email.
In case of no show, earlier than planned departure or cancellation (for whatever reason) payed deposits will not be refunded. Therefore it could be advisable to take a travel or cancellation insurance.
Reservations/payments campsite
Reservations of pitches on our campsite can be done by email, whatsapp or phonecall. Depending on the length of your reservation and the season we can ask for a deposit of 50% to consider your reservation confirmed. All other payments can be done at arrival in cash or by card. The minimum length of stay to make a reservation is 2 nights. One night stay is always possible, f.i. on our Park4Night spots.
Smoking/Open fire
In dry summers Portugal is regularly confronted with wildfires. Therefore, open fire, barbequeing on charcoal and walking while smoking are strictly forbidden on our quinta in summer months or other periods of elevated risk. Any other forms of BBQ requires a stable underground, away from high grass or low trees. We demand that our detailed instructions to this subject are to be followed strictly without any discussion. Violators will be asked to leave the quinta imediately. Signs with instructions are hung in Reception and Bathhouse.
We pretend to be a ‘non-smoking’ campsite. Please only smoke while seated in front of your own recreational vehicle. Clean up all cigarettebuds.
No damage deposit
Because we adhere to the principle “give confidence = gain confidence” we don’t ask for a damage deposit. We trust you to report any damage to our property and inventory fairly and take your responsibility in case a compensation would be appropriate. To cover all managementcosts for keeping and replacing inventory the groundrule for compensation is 200% of new-value.
Liability
Quinta do Retiro is in the middle of nature. It means we can have ‘wild animals’ around. Guests need to keep their belonings (specially shoes and clothes), including waste and rubbish, under their control. ‘Wild animals’ like mouse, fox, birds, wild boar, dears might find this interesting. Retiro Turismo Rural Lda is not responsible for damages, losses, theft or injuries during your stay on our site or using the facilities.
Pets
Guests can bring a pet if announced at booking. The maximum is 2 pets per guest. Pets are under guests control at all times at a maximum distance of 3 meters from the guest. The guest is responsible for their pets at all times.
Applicable law and complaints procedure
On these terms and conditions the Portuguese law is applicable. Upon request, you can file a formal complaint using our “Livro the Reclamações”.
